Are you missing out online?
A recent article published by Inside Retailing speaks of Australian retailers missing out on more than their share of online sales due to lack of social media integration and personalised content on their websites.
The article refers to a benchmark study called “The Engaged Web” published by EPiServer, a provider of platforms that drive online engagement. According to the study, only 18 per cent of Australia's 80 leading companies investigated feature a community on their website and regularly updated blogs feature on only 20 per cent of sites.
From working with retailers in the online space, we would go even one step further to say that a similar percentage do not even have a social
profile. And, if they do, most let their profiles lay dormant for months on end let alone integrating with other marketing channels.

We work to engage them...
The Report also goes on to discuss that although Australian companies appear to be embracing
social media with 44 percent of companies advertising their Twitter and 34 per cent advertising their Facebook fan page directly on their home page, only half of a per cent regularly upload information and news to share with their community.
We understand that consumers these days want more than a web destination. They expect a sophisticated engagement that demonstrates a brand’s understanding of their needs and wants and what ultimately drives them to commence or maintain a relationship with the brand.
